Hi, we are PKC.
A virtual tribe of knitters knitting for premature babies and fundraising for preemie related causes.
Our story
Founded in 2016 by Courtney Bennett, a preemie baby herself, Premmie Knitting Club was inspired by Courtneyβs firsthand understanding of the life-changing support provided by doctors, nurses, and medical professionals to premature babies and their families. Driven by the desire to give back, Courtney established Premmie Knitting Club on the simple belief that a little warmth and care can make a big difference for the tiniest Kiwis.
Our mission
Our mission is to bring comfort and care to families through lovingly hand-knitted items, nurturing a sense of community, kindness, and creativity. In addition to our knitting, our fundraising for essential equipment like WhΔnau beds, kangaroo chairs, and breast pumps, allows us to support public health and make a real difference in neonatal units across Aotearoa.
Our values
COMMUNITY
We bring people of all ages together, from seasoned knitters to total beginners, creating powerful connections throughout New Zealand.
